At Kuona Africa Safaris, we adhere to the following terms and conditions to ensure a transparent and seamless safari experience for our clients:

Itinerary: Clients receive a comprehensive itinerary detailing their journey, including destinations and activities. While we strive to deliver the agreed safari services, unforeseen circumstances such as road closures, adverse weather, or security concerns may necessitate itinerary changes. In such cases, we reserve the right to modify the itinerary, inform clients promptly, and make alternative arrangements whenever feasible. We are committed to maintaining the quality and essence of the itinerary to the best of our ability.

Local Regulations: Clients must acknowledge that conditions in Tanzania may differ from those in developed countries. We are subject to sudden changes in government-regulated fees and taxes, such as national park fees and taxes. Kuona Africa Safaris reserves the right to pass on these local taxes/fees to our customers.

Payment Terms: Upon booking confirmation, clients receive an invoice detailing all aspects of their itinerary. To secure their reservation, we require a 50% deposit payment of the itinerary cost, with 100% upfront payment for airline tickets. The remaining balance is due 65 days before the itinerary commencement date. Bookings made within 65 days prior to departure require full prepayment upon reservation confirmation.

Methods of Payment: Payments can be made via bank wire/transfer for convenience and security.

Cancellation Policy: In the event of cancellation, clients are subject to the following charges:

  • 65+ days before departure: Deposit non-refundable
  • 50-65 days before departure: 30% of the itinerary cost
  • 0-50 days before departure: 100% of the itinerary cost

Changes to Itinerary: Clients may request changes to their itinerary or an earlier departure date after booking confirmation. While we endeavor to accommodate such requests based on availability, additional costs may apply, amounting to €150.

Fully Accredited and Bonded: Kuona Africa Safaris is a proud member of SGR (Stichting Garantiefonds Reisgelden), ensuring financial security and peace of mind for our clients. Our SGR membership number is 3700.

Website Pricing: Any prices published on KuonaAfricaSafaris.com are per person, based on two individuals (unless otherwise specified) and quoted in US dollars (US$). Additional expenses such as passport/visa fees, border taxes, tips, insurances, or personal expenses are not included unless stated otherwise. Prices are subject to change, and all quotations are valid for 2 weeks.

Travel Documents: Clients receive all necessary travel documents, including vouchers, e-tickets, luggage labels, and flyers, two weeks before departure.

Insurances: Clients are responsible for securing comprehensive travel and medical insurance for the duration of their trip, covering medical and repatriation expenses. Optional insurances include cancellation coverage, emergency evacuation, and loss/theft of personal belongings.

Passports and Visas: Clients are required to ensure that their passports and visas are valid for the countries they plan to visit. Most nationalities can obtain a tourist visa upon arrival in Tanzania, with passports valid for at least six months after the final travel date.

Check Names: Clients must carefully review the names on the invoice upon receipt. Any name changes requested more than three days after receiving the invoice will incur a fee of €125.
