6 Days Gorilla & Chimpanzee Trekking Safari

After breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest National Park, famous for its population of chimpanzees and other primates. You’ll travel through scenic countryside, tea plantations, and villages. Arrive at your lodge near Kibale in the afternoon. Relax for the evening in preparation for your chimpanzee trekking adventure the next day. Dinner and overnight at your lodge near Kibale.

This day begins with an early breakfast, followed by chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. The guided trek offers a chance to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat, as well as a variety of other primates and bird species. In the afternoon, take a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, famous for birdwatching and more primate sightings. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home of mountain gorillas. Enjoy a scenic drive with incredible views of the Rwenzori Mountains and the Albertine Rift. Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi in the evening and relax as you prepare for your gorilla trekking adventure. Dinner and overnight at your lodge near Bwindi.

Begin the day with an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Accompanied by experienced rangers, trek through Bwindi’s dense rainforest in search of a gorilla family. Spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Optionally, you may visit the local Batwa community for a cultural experience in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

After breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive back to Entebbe, with stops along the way to admire the beautiful landscapes of southwestern Uganda. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
