Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by your guide. You will be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe for a restful evening. Depending on your arrival time, you may opt to explore Entebbe’s attractions, such as the botanical gardens or the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. Overnight stay at a hotel in Entebbe.
After breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest National Park, renowned for its dense population of primates, particularly chimpanzees. Enjoy a scenic drive through tea plantations and lush landscapes. Upon arrival, settle into your lodge and relax for the evening, preparing for your chimpanzee trekking experience the following day. Dinner and overnight at your lodge near Kibale Forest.
Today, embark on a thrilling chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale Forest. Accompanied by experienced guides, you’ll trek through the forest to observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat. Kibale Forest is also home to over 13 other primate species, including red colobus monkeys and black-and-white colobus monkeys. After lunch, visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk, where you can spot diverse birdlife and more primates. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular safari destination. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive through the park’s northern sector, where you’ll encounter elephants, buffaloes, lions, and a variety of antelope species. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Start your day with an early morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its wildlife density and predator sightings, especially lions. After lunch, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. The boat ride offers the opportunity to spot large groups of hippos, crocodiles, and an array of bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to Uganda’s mountain gorillas. Along the way, you will drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions. After lunch, continue your journey to Bwindi, arriving in the evening. Check in to your lodge, and enjoy a relaxing evening as you prepare for the highlight of your safari—gorilla trekking. Dinner and overnight at your lodge near Bwindi.
The day begins with an early breakfast, followed by a briefing at the park headquarters. Accompanied by experienced rangers, you will trek through Bwindi’s dense forest in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. Once you find them, spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you have the option to visit the local Batwa community for a cultural experience or relax at your lodge. Later, you will be transferred to Entebbe for your departure flight or overnight stay (depending on flight schedules).
