Tour Plan

You arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Moshi for an overnight stay. Here, you will receive a briefing about the trek and prepare for your adventure.

After breakfast, you drive to Machame Gate (1,800m / 5,906ft) to begin your climb. Trekking through lush rainforest, you will reach Machame Camp (3,000m / 9,843ft) after approximately 5-7 hours of hiking. Enjoy your first night on the mountain under the stars.

Today, you will trek from Machame Camp to Shira Camp (3,840m / 12,535ft). The hike takes about 4-6 hours and offers fantastic views of the mountain as you ascend to the Shira Plateau, where you will camp for the night.

On this day, you trek from Shira Camp to Barranco Camp (3,960m / 13,000ft). The trek includes a visit to the Lava Tower (4,600m / 15,091ft) for acclimatization and stunning views. This hike lasts about 5-7 hours.

After breakfast, you will climb the Barranco Wall, an exhilarating section of the trek. You then descend to Karanga Camp (3,995m / 13,100ft) after approximately 4-5 hours of hiking.

You will ascend from Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (4,673m / 15,331ft) today. The trek takes about 4-5 hours, providing magnificent views of the surrounding landscapes as you prepare for your summit attempt.

Starting early in the morning, you will make your final ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895m / 19,341ft), reaching the summit at sunrise. After taking in the breathtaking views, you will descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m / 10,171ft) for your final night on the mountain.
